In 2022, sisters Hilary Baer Hogan BSN/MSN and Rachel Baer Palmer, opened Bare Skin Marin in the wake of losing their mom Linda to brain cancer, determined to make grief their rocket-fuel.

Nurse Practitioner Hilary Baer Hogan’s journey to founding Bare Skin Marin was deeply personal. In the wake of losing her mother to brain cancer, she used grief as rocket fuel to launch her medical aesthetics practice, determined to build something meaningful. Repeatedly described as “lightning in a bottle” Bare Skin Marin has won multiple awards since its inception in 2022. Hilary attributes Bare Skin Marin’s rapid success to a deep intentionality behind building a winning team. Her trademarked techniques — Skin to Structure™, The Release™, and Lift Over Lines™ — are novel to the medical aesthetics landscape and the reason patients travel from out of town to receive care at Bare Skin Marin.
Hilary graduated from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor with various academic honors and earned her BSN and MSN from Columbia University School of Nursing. A lifelong artist, she has earned numerous awards for her artwork, including recognition from the California State Senate.
Proud to call Marin County home, Hilary resides in Marin County, CA with her husband, two sons, and their red toy poodle, Brooklyn.
Hilary is a board-certified Nurse Practitioner who has specialized in aesthetic medicine since 2016.
Since launching Bare Skin Marin in 2022, her med spa has received numerous awards including Best Med Spa, Best Skin Care, and Best Cosmetic Dermatology.
Hilary is highly sought for her brainchild, Skin to StructureTM a proprietary framework for translating delivering high impact treatment outcomes She has proven expertise in delivering results driven treatment plans, has earned numerous awards for her artwork including recognition from the California State Senate. She incorporates her understanding of light, balance, and composition into helping her patients achieve their cosmetic goals. Hilary now considers the human face her medium and regularly enrolls in workshops and professional trainings to stay up to date on best practices. Hilary has worked with some of the most respected leaders in the industry.
Proud to call Marin County home, she is most proud of her two boys, beloved husband, and red toy poodle, Brooklyn.
Arman T. Serebrakian, MD, is a Harvard and UCLA-trained plastic surgeon who specializes in plastic surgery, hand and upper extremity surgery, aesthetic surgery, and microsurgery. Dr. Serebrakian received his medical degree from the Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University, then completed the prestigious Harvard Plastic Surgery residency program where he trained at world class institutions and served on the program’s Executive Committee during his chief residency year.
He then completed a dedicated fellowship in hand, upper extremity, and microsurgery at UCLA. Dr. Serebrakian, formerly an NCAA and professional alpine ski racer, has also competed internationally including for the University of Colorado ski team as well as at the 2014 Winter Olympic Games. He currently serves as the MarinHealth and UCSF Health clinic’s dedicated plastic surgeon in San Rafael and Greenbrae, CA.
Armen Serebrakian, MD is a board-certified facial plastic surgeon and a head and neck surgeon with over 35 years of experience serving Marin and the San Francisco Bay Area. He completed residency in head and neck otolaryngology at Henry Ford Hospital followed by a dedicated advanced fellowship in facial plastic surgery at the Minnesota Head and Neck Clinic.
His expertise within the fields of aesthetic and reconstructive facial surgery has led him to become a regional expert as well as one of the West Coast’s experts in the use of lasers and phototherapy within the field of aesthetic surgery.
He is the founder and director of the Bay Area Laser Cosmetic Surgery Center with locations in Larkspur and Pinole, CA.
