Laser Treatment

Have you noticed brown patches on your skin? Do you struggle with discoloration of your upper-lip or jawline? You may have melasma, which is one of the most challenging dermatological condition to treat. Melasma is a chronic condition, which means it cannot be cured. Its symptoms, however, can be controlled with careful intervention. Depending on your presentation and medical history, we may recommend prescription medication, topical products, lifestyle modification, and/or laser treatment.

Moxi and Broadband Light HERO are no- to low downtime laser treatments for achieving clearer, healthier skin, with little discomfort.

Moxi is the gentle yet powerful 1927nm fractionated non-ablative laser designed with everyone in mind-- it is safe for all skin types including Asian, Middle Eastern, Mediterranean, and African ethnicities. A favorite option for "prejuvenation," Moxi is ideal for patients who want to delay the appearance of aging and those looking to maintain beautiful skin without arduous recovery.

BBL is a non-invasive laser therapy that utilizes broad-spectrum light to target specific skin issues such as sun damage, age spots, freckles, redness, and uneven pigmentation. The treatment works by delivering intense pulses of light energy to the skin, stimulating the production of collagen, and promoting the skin's natural healing process.

What to Expect?

You may feel a sensation of heat or mild discomfort during the procedure. The duration of the treatment session varies based on the size of the targeted area and the type of laser used but generally lasts anywhere from 15-45 minutes. After the procedure, your skin might be red, swollen, and sensitive, similar to a mild sunburn. The recovery period varies depending on the intensity of the laser treatment but typically patients experience minimal downtime, with redness and swelling subsiding within a day or two. After BBL, any brown pigment treated will darken, come to the surface, and slough off over approximately 5 to 10 days. A couple of days after your Moxi treatment, the area treated will take on a sandpaper-like appearance and, similarly, slough off over approximately 5 to 10 days.

The results of a laser session continue to improve for weeks to months following treatment. As the skin heals, new collagen regenerates and you'll notice gradual improvements to tone, texture  and appearance.. We recommend multiple sessions for optimal results, especially for specific skin concerns like melasma, deep wrinkles or scars.
