Stop taking aspirin, NSAIDs (Advil, Ibuprofen, Aleve), fish oil, and vitamin E 5 days before treatment to minimize bruising. Consult your doctor if these are medically necessary.
Alcohol increases the risk of bruising and swelling.
If prone to cold sores, let your provider know, so they can coordinate antiviral medication if needed.
Well-hydrated skin enhances results and supports healing.
Schedule your treatment at least 2 weeks before any major event to allow full healing.
No makeup, moisturizer, or sunscreen on the treatment area.
Headache after injections is related to the needle sticks, not the wrinkle relaxer medication. Take Tylenol if needed, as Advil can increase bruising.
It is normal to need an adjustment after your first treatment, and it is normal to notice asymmetries in the first two weeks as the product is kicking in (most resolve on their own). Follow up with your provider 14-21 days after treatment. Before then is typically too soon to make adjustments.
